When the Shunammite’s son fell ill and died, she called to her husband to make preparation that she might run to the man of God. Even though the bible tells us that her son was dead, she quickly acted upon the word of prophecy that had been given her regarding her son. When the prophet Elisha saw her he asked, “Is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with your child?” Then she replied, “It is well!”
Notice that the woman took action. Although she was vexed in spirit about her dead baby, she took action. She did not bury her child! Many times we experience difficult times in our lives. Men of God have spoken a word of faith over us, But instead of taking action like the Shunammite woman, we bury the baby because our faith regarding our petitions have not come to fruition.
It is our faith that will bring these words of promise to pass. If we do not act upon what God has spoken into our lives, our blessings have no way of developing into full fruition. It is that mustard seed of faith that will get the job done.
If you have dreams, or aspirations of developing your full potential, take Action. Be as the Shunammite woman, and don’t bury the baby. It is not dead. When you are asked by your peers regarding the status of your dreams and goals, be sure to reply, “All is well.” DON’T BURY THE BABY!
