There is much to be said about trees’. Tree’s are a wonderful resource for our earth. They absorb bad gases from the air, and release good gases like oxygen back into the air? They act as cooling systems to our homes on summer days, and they are also an intricate part of our water ecosystems. There are many ways tree’s assist in sustaining human and animal life upon the earth. They are most popular in the use of providing shelter. I guess this is why there are so many references regarding tree’s in the Bible. There is one in particular tree I would like to tell you about, The Tree Of Life. In the beginning it was never the intention of God for man to know evil. It is because of his own disobedience that he became to know a life that would end in his own demise.
When God put Adam, and Eve into the garden of Eden, everything they needed was within reach of their hands. They wanted for nothing. The only requirement to remain in this paradise was obedience. When God created Adam, he gave him rule over every living thing, the earth replenished itself and all was good. God saw that Adam was lonely so he created a woman, and Adam would name her Eve.
So God had placed dominion of all that he created into Adams hands, except the tree of knowledge. God had given Adam strict instructions not to touch it, not because he did not want him to have knowledge, but because he only wanted him to know good. God is good, and all that is good comes from him. The Tree of Life in this reference is used as an example of God and his characteristics, so therefore God was in the garden. There also was The Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil (Genesis 2:9). The Tree of life would continue in allowing Adam and Eve to live out their days in complete bliss forever, and the other, The Tree of knowledge would bring an end to how they lived giving them understanding of all that was not intended, and ending in death. God had given Adam and Eve a Choice as he has given us all.
He wants to be a part of our daily lives. To serve him is the only way of redeeming the path intended us in the beginning,a life of happiness everlasting. Will you give him an opportunity to be all that he can to you? I guarantee you won’t regret it. You are probably already living all that you could ever dream to live. However, there is so much more to learn and live when serving God. Will you choose life today?
