Whelp. Tomorrow is Mother’s Day. Many of you will celebrate your moms. Restaurants will be full, flower shops joyous, and everyone will be in an amorous mood. However, this one day set aside every year is not nearly enough acknowledgement for someone who has invested so much into your life physically, spiritually, intellectually and emotionally.
Mother’s are born nurturers. It is instinctively a part of our born qualities. It is also one of the most natural instincts in our possession. It is powerful because with this very natural trait we are able to sustain the life of our children. It has been proven statistically that babies can not survive without nurture.
As Mother’s we cuddle them in our arms as infants, watch them take their first steps as toddlers, send them off to that first day of kindergarten as young children, guide them through years of adolescence as teenagers, and cheer for them when they move on to begin a life on their own. There is so much emotional investment that we can hardly bare to watch them move on, even though we know we must let them go.
That’s right. A Mother’s love will always follow her children, it is unconditional. No matter where her children are, or what age, they are always on her heart and mind.
This is why as she ages it is important to surround her returning some of her investment. The Bible says we are to Honor our Parent’s, but today we are talking about Mom, so I will say honor her, not just once a year, but each day she is here with you.
Do all that you can while you are blessed to have her here. Spend time with her, talk with her, do whatever you can, if you can to provide her every comfort. I can assure you she will appreciate it, you should enjoy it, and God will bless you for it! 🙂 And even if on this special day, you have lost a Mother or a loved one, you are celebrated for having been chosen with the highest honor of having or being a MOM. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO MOMS EVERYWHERE!! 🙂
