I was talking with a woman who was discouraged because she felt she had been treated unfairly on her job. She went on to explain how she had been employed by her company for several years and they had released her unfairly. She said that she had prayed about the incident and felt that she would be fine, but she was still uncertain of what she’d do with her life. She is a believer and it sounded as if she really wanted to ask why? Why had this happened to her?

I explained that we always feel somewhat insecure when beginning a new chapter in life, and that God had never promised us that we would not have test or trials, he promised that he would deliver us or get us through them. I can surely attest to that, Amen. (Psalm 37-40)

All through the Bible we can see where God allowed people of faith to go through very difficult challenges, examples, Daniel went into the Lions Den, The Three Hebrew Boys went into the Fiery Furnace, Paul and Silas went to Prison, Jesus was sacrificed on The Cross. These were all innocent, and this let’s us know that our accuser has no respect of person….. in other words, we are not excluded.

“(1 Peter 4:12-19 says, Dear friends do not be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad -for these trails make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.)”

So friend we will not only know God in the power of his resurrection but also in the fellowship of his suffering. Yet our present suffering is nothing compared to the glory that shall be revealed to us. (Romans 8:18). Finally, I would like to encourage you to fight the good fight, finish your course and keep the faith, and God strengthen and establish you. Amen. (2 Timothy 4:7).
