Hey Y’all! I have a confession to make. I love potato chips, and recently I decided to take them out of my diet for a while to cut back on my salt intake. I had told a few friends that I was going to do this and we decided that we would agree not to touch potato chips for about a month, after that if we decided that we wanted to eat them again we could. Well, that weekend I was in the grocery store shopping, I went to grab a couple of soda’s that I should also cut from my diet, and guest what was staring me right in the face? Yep! That’s right., POTATO CHIPS!

I promise you I tried to walk away, but I admit it, I was weak. The chips kept on calling me back, and it was not that I really wanted them, I believe that it was because I had made the promise not to have them.  So I grabbed them, put them in my basket, and when I got to the car I….I….I ATE THEM!! OK.

Well when I got back to work on that Monday I pleaded with God not to let them ask if anybody had ate chips on the weekend, and what do- ya- know, here comes Ms. Goody tutu down the hall. Did you eat any chips this weekend? I know you did, I saw you in the chip aisle in the grocery store. Ya’ll  before I knew it I shook my head and answered….No! I did not eat any chips. I know you have never done any such thing, but this is my story.  🙂 I wanted to correct myself but I couldn’t because she was pestering me.

So I signed in and proceeded to go to my classroom when the voices started. All I could hear on speaker in my head is; YOU LIED!! The condemnation was so Loud I looked up at the ceiling and said, OK. I will make it right. I will tell her I ate the measly bag of chips! Later that morning I saw her standing in the hallway, so I walked over to her and whispered in her ear that I had eaten chips over the weekend, and we both burst out laughing, and guess what….she admitted that she had too!

God knows that we have weaknesses, without them we would have no need for a living God who is always STRONG, just tell him about everything and he will help you. Pray for strength and keep pressing. (2 Corinthians 12:9) “But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ power may rest on me.”(NIV)  Where man will find fault, God will extend Grace and Mercy. Where ever you go….Whatever you may do, Remember God has sufficient Grace, and he will apply Mercy. Keep Pressing!

God Bless…..
