Storms are defined as significant disruptions to normal conditions. They come in many different forms such as, wind, hail, freeze, thunder, lighting, or heavy rain. They all transport substances through the atmosphere, They are sometimes very destructive.
It will depend on the type of storm approaching to know what type of safety guards you will need. Your best recourse is to be prepared to BUCKLE DOWN! It is always good to know when a storm is coming. Sometimes you’ll know just by the movement around you, and other times they may take you by surprise. That is why it is good to always be prepared.
Have you ever listened to the morning news, and the meteorologist says, “we’re expecting rain showers today?” You then peep through the blinds from your bedroom window, and the sun is shining bright. So you leave the house thinking surely they have made a wrong call, and before you can reach your destination rain begins to pour down from heaven.
That’s improper planning. If you do not heed the warning signs, you will surely not be prepared to navigate your storm, and possibly won’t survive it. Preparing for your storm will require that you have a few necessary devotionals in place, such as communicating with God. It is actually called prayer.
When you are in a storm it will be very imperative that you are in constant communication with God to get step by step instructions on what path you should take to avoid destruction. Knowledge about your storm is also an important factor to your survival.
It will be necessary for you to read the word of God to gain an advantage of the obstacles, and tactics used while in the midst of your storm. Remember objects are being tossed, and you don’t want to get hit!
My last devotional would be fasting. I know, but when you’re in a storm you’ll need a little help, and fasting applies power to your prayers, is a sure way to get the attention of GOD! Whenever the Israelites were in a terrible battle they assembled a fast. You also need to develop instinct, as well as assembling yourself with other like minded people who will help to guide your ship.
