DON’T STAY NEAR THE BROOK TO LONG!

I’m always entertained with the human mind. It sometimes changes along with our mood. As the  action of a man will show forth his true intentions, so will we find stability in his words. However, the mind changes with the wind sometimes, in winter we wish for spring, in spring we wish for summer, and back to winter again.

I must say that on a Summer day I find nothing more refreshing than walking into a cool house, where I treat myself to a cold glass of ice tea. Yep! Ice Tea…Lol! Those are my southern roots speaking. In some ways it reminds me of resting near a brook, and how refreshingly peaceful it can be under a nice shade tree listening to the sound of water as it flows down stream.

In comparison it would be sitting in my favorite comfy chair sipping on a glass of cold tea, after being in the hot sun on a summer’s day. Most times if I sit to long I am sure to fall off to sleep. (1 Kings:19 v 5)  You see streams of water regardless of how refreshing are located in low places.(The valley)

Although we can not see them there are many dangers lurking, just as when we are spiritually in a relaxed position while resting. (1Kings:19 v 7) I understand you have grown tired from the battle, and that the weight of your amour has come to be to heavy, but “Don’t Stay Near The Brook To Long.” Get thee up to the mountain top where you can hear the voice of the Lord as he gives you instruction while planning your strategic defense.

God understands the warrior in us. He knows exactly when to release us from our post! He knows when it is time to move us. (1 Kings :19 v 11-17)  Whether that will be in promotion or retirement. He knows what is best! 🙂 Stand with him. If it is time for you to pass the baton, pass it knowing that your assignment is complete, and God is giving you rest. Amen

God Bless
