John Chapter 14:5) Thomas said unto him. Lord we know not where you are going, and how can we know the way?
There are times when we are uncertain of our direction. Life will sometimes lead us to crossroads. Be cautious but don’t be afraid to take risk. I understand the fear in failing, but there are lessons in failure too. If you knew every step you were to take in life, you would not need to consult God.
The Bible says we are to acknowledge him in all our ways that he may direct our path. (Proverbs 3:6) God is well able to lead you in a good path, but this is not to say that there will not be challenges along the way. In fact, if you choose God you will probably be challenged the more. Jesus did not have to allow the disciples who were with him in the ship to experience the storm, but he did.
He showed them Great Miracles to increase their Faith. In fact Jesus asked the question right after he calmed the sea, he says, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have NO FAITH?” (Mark 4:40) He’s a character builder. I said those things to remind you that when he is building character in us, it never feels good, but we are certainly better disciples, Amen.
Therefore if we will acknowledge him we must come to know that he is the tree and we are the branches. We must then stay connected and allow him to teach us, guide us on this journey we call life. He says, “I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the father but by me.” (John 14:6)
Let him guide you. he will never lead you astray. 🙂
