Fuel Up!

Lately I have felt like a spinning top.  There are times when life can deal you a hand of busyness. The whirlwind of it all will have you so dizzy that when the top stops spinning., you feel lost, and unsure of your next steps. Lol! So what do I do now? That’s typically the feeling you get when all is calm around you. Well, my suggestion to you would be to take a breather and prepare for the next round.

In our busyness, we forget about ourselves and the fuel it takes to keep up with the demands of family. I love the activeness and balance of being with my family, but family comes with a lot of activity and while you love every bit of it, this still does not mean that you don’t need time for yourself.

I realize that everyone does not feel the love or joy of being in a great family, but even Jesus rested. Take A BREAK! Have some me time, and don’t feel guilty about it. I guess by now you know that I am particularly speaking to the ladies in the family since we carry the bulk of home life experiences. If that sounds one sided, sorry fella’s.

Many times as women we are so dedicated to taking care of our families that we loose ourselves. It’s OK to be a little selfish and Do You! Sometimes family may not like it but if it keeps you fueled, well…..I think they will get over there disappointments pretty easily. As the saying goes, “If mom ain”t happy, ain’t nobody Happy” Lol! And they might not get that pot of Grits!!

God Bless
