(Luke 10:20) Jesus said to them rejoice not that the spirits are subject to you but rather rejoice that your name is written in heaven.
I will write this as limited in word as possible, but I had a very disturbing conversation with someone last night. They said they were just calling to talk. They seemed fine in the beginning, but then the conversation turned and they begin to express feelings of ending it. That’s right…..I am talking about life.
I said to them, “I can not stop you from ending your life if that’s what you want to do, but God has you here for a reason and you have so much to live for…..whatever your issue allow me to pray with you.”
They did…..so I begin to pray, and I actually felt their deliverance as I begin to speak the word of God over their life. This person was spiritually broken, and as they begin to weep I felt the torments of their mind and emotions begin to lift.
Their release and recovery had begun as God began to build the bridge back to him. I really felt God move with compassion for this person. I believe they got their deliverance. I thank God that I answered the phone call and for the opportunity to be a light in darkness.
Spirits are real folks, but even they must submit to the God we serve. I count it all joy to serve a living God. Amen
